Desert honey

11 days that will transform you life
A pilgrimage on dusty roads  through spectacular landscapes. The sun paints artistic shades on sandstone mountainsides. The wind carries a strange freshness in the air. The Maluti mountains boast their splendour. The African soil under your feet reminds of a journey deep within.
Let your heart and mind find its resting place in God. Read more

On a lonely desert road, walking with a water bottle in my hand, I met a young man with a plastic bag in his hand.

After greeting and talking a little, I asked him: What is in your hand? Honey; cakes of honey, he replied, I got it in the trees by the mountain. Here I was, carefully planning every sip of the precious water as I walked through the Karoo. My focus was so on preserving water that I was totally surprised by this man and his honey. We had a good time of fellowshipping as we walked together a bit.

When we reached his turn-off, we prayed. I shook his sticky hand and as I walked away, it was with great joy, that I realised: There was honey on my hand!

Here is my encouragement:

Don’t just survive your desert-experience, dig deeper to also find the honey, and may the honey in your hand stick to everyone you meet today!
